We’re delighted to be able to offer our year 8, 9, 10 and 11 dyslexic students the opportunity to participate in Visual Multi-layered Thinking workshops, run by Oliver West, founder of Footnotes. The workshops, funded by West Cornwall Youth Trust, consist of 8 sessions which are proving to be a success so far. The students are now getting the hang of how to access visualisation to learn and process information through the ‘gridding technique’. They are also realising what their personal learning strategies are and how we are all individuals who learn differently and have unique hopes and dreams. “The workshops are a unique opportunity for the students to enhance their visual learning skills and gain strategies for study”.
