On Tuesday 8th October, the whole of Year 10 visited the Royal Cornwall Showground at Wadebridge for a careers’ fair. The students had the chance to speak to employers about a wide variety of professions and even got the chance to try their hand at new skills.

There were representatives from organisations as varied as Specsavers through to the army. Local colleges were also available to advise on further education options. Our students were able to try various tasks including building models in the construction sector, trying new foods in the catering area and practising hairstyles on dummy heads.

It certainly gave them plenty of fresh ideas for their futures. Hayle Academy students behaved in an exemplary fashion and were praised by the organisers for their politeness and maturity. Well done all of you.
