Friends of Hayle Academy (FOHA)

Friends of Hayle Academy (FOHA) is a committed group of parents, carers, staff, and community members who work together to support and enrich the life of the school.

Led by Chair: Miss Claire Rule, FOHA plays a vital role in building a strong school community by organising events, raising funds, and providing practical support for school initiatives. The group helps to enhance the educational experience of all students by funding additional resources, supporting extracurricular activities, and contributing to projects that benefit the whole school.

What We Do

  • Organise fun and inclusive events for students and families
  • Raise funds for equipment, trips, and enrichment opportunities
  • Support school performances, open evenings, and community events
  • Strengthen links between the school and the wider community
  • Promote sustainability through our pre-loved uniform initiative

Pre-Loved Uniforms

Friends of Hayle Academy sell items of pre-loved school uniform to support our sustainability efforts. If your child has outgrown their school uniform, why not pop in and pick up a pre-loved item at a fraction of the cost?

If you have any items of school uniform or PE kit that your child has outgrown, please consider donating to our pre-loved collection—or swap your items for a different size. Donations can be dropped off at school reception, and if you would like to swap or buy, please contact FOHA directly:

Community Support

We’re delighted to share that Tesco in Carbis Bay is supporting FOHA throughout October 2025 as part of their Stronger Starts initiative. This partnership will help us raise vital funds towards launching a breakfast club at Hayle Academy—ensuring every student has the opportunity to start their day with a healthy meal.

Please support our school by placing your blue token in the FOHA box when shopping at Tesco Carbis Bay!

Get Involved

FOHA is always looking for new members and volunteers. Whether you can offer time, skills, or ideas, your involvement—big or small—makes a real difference. It’s a great way to meet other families, support the school, and be part of something positive.

If you’d like to find out more or get involved, please contact us via the email below or contact Mrs Tamsin Hosking, Assistant Headteacher, who is the SLT link:

Together, we can help make Hayle Academy an even better place to learn, grow, and thrive.
